While New Line Cinema is determined to get working on a Blade IV movie, screenwriter David Goyer spoke with reporters and did not rule out being attached to the film. Someone who wont be involved is the man we've all come to know as Blade, that kung fu fightin' vampire killer, Wesley Snipes. I guess there's too much at stake as Wesley fights off hordes of government agents for his tax evasion. The previous film, "Blade Trinity" back in 2004, only raked in $50 million at the box office while the Spike TV series lasted only 12 episodes. Its got me wondering if fans are over the adventures of the vampire hunter's exploits. No new lead actor has been cast to replace Wesley as of yet.
After being asked by reporters about his role reprisal of the psychopathic thug Marv, Mickey Rourke said he's not that enthusiastic about participating in the "Sin City" sequel. With the serious tone of movie character he played in 2008, its no surprise he's not that willing to jump back into the action packed comic adaptation thriller. It's hard to imagine anyone else smashing faces and busting up cops as well as he did in the first flick. Although giving a stellar performance, Rourke lost in the Best Actor category for his portrayl of a washed up body slammer in "The Wrestler" to Sean Penn's performance in "Milk" at this year's Oscar Awards. Sin City creator Frank Miller is aiming at an April 09' start to begin production on the follow up of his film noir smash hit.
